Uniform Pick up and Ordering
Please complete the P.S. 89 Uniform Order Form if you need to purchase a uniform for your child. After your order is completed, a P.S. 89 staff member will call you to arrange a pick up time. The only accepted form of payment is cash.
Ms. Imma will be selling uniforms in person daily from 9:00-10:00 am and 1:30-3:00 pm. Families can go to the security desk during these times or send payment in with your child.

2025-2026 School Supply Lists
Registration Information
Please bring the following documents:

Birth Certificate

Immunizations
-
IEP (if applicable)
-
Previous school report card or data (if applicable)

2 proofs of address (current lease, Con Ed bill, utility bill, NYC or NYS mail, or NYS ID)
Please also bring your child with you.
School Hours
Monday - Friday, 8:00 am until 2:20 pm
Arrival
-
Please do not drop students off before 7:50 a.m. unless attending breakfast, as there is no supervision before school hours.

Breakfast is served from 7:45 to 8:00 a.m. in the large cafeteria. Enter through Exit 2 if arriving early for breakfast.

In the event of inclement weather (i.e., rain/snow), please arrive as close to 8:00 a.m. as possible, as we do not have staff to supervise students in indoor spaces, other than for breakfast in the large cafeteria.
Dismissal -
Dismissal begins at 2:10 p.m.

Beginning at 2:19 p.m., teachers/staff will transition students from the dismissal site to the small cafeteria.

The small cafeteria is the “late room” where students can be found if picking up after 2:19 p.m.

You must sign the late book if picking up your child from the late room.

If your child is in grades 3, 4, or 5, and you wish to give permission for your child to walk home, please make sure to write a note to your child’s teacher.

Pre-K, Kindergarten, and Grade 1: Arrival and Dismissal: Courtyard by mini building behind the main school building
Grades 2 and 3: Arrival and Dismissal: Exit 5

Grades 4 and 5: Arrival: Exit 4, Dismissal: Exit 8
Grades 6, 7, & 8: Arrival: Large Yard, Dismissal: Exit 2

Information on Potential Inclement Weather Closures
As we head into winter, it’s likely we will have inclement weather that in an ordinary year would cause all schools to close for teaching and learning. This year, if a snowstorm or other weather demands that school buildings close, all schools will still conduct remote learning on that day. All students will be expected to log on and engage with their work from home.
