As we are approaching June and the end of this academic school year, we want to offer experiences to commemorate and celebrate our eighth graders in recognition of graduation. All eighth grade students have received an eighth grade contract that outlines expectations.
Payments can be paid in full or in installments. ONLY MONEY ORDERS WILL BE ACCEPTED, NO CASH, CREDIT CARDS, OR CHECKS. Money orders should be made out to : P.S. 89x.
Monies must only be given to Ms. Celeste Marichal between the hours of 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the Main Office.

Awards Night will be at P.S. 89 on Wednesday, June 12 at 5:00 pm.
The Senior Trip will be at Holiday Hills on Friday, June 21 from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm.
The prom will be at Maestro's Catering Hall on Tuesday, June 25 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
Graduation will be at P.S. 89 on Tuesday, June 25 at 8:45 am. Doors will open at 8:30 am.
If your child is not meeting promotional criteria, both academic and behavioral, and is not permitted to attend Graduation and/or Senior activities, payment that has been made will be refunded in the form of a school check on the last day of school, June 26.
Due to a limited number of seats in the auditorium, each graduate will be issued two tickets. No one will be admitted to the graduation without a ticket. Each ticket is numbered and stamped so when you receive them, please place them in a secure location. Infants and small children are welcome but please note that each ticket represents one seat. Strollers will not be permitted inside the auditorium. They will be stored in the small cafeteria.
We understand that some families may need more than the allotted two tickets. We will try our best to accommodate these requests. Please fill out the Graduation Ticket Request Google Form because requests will be honored on a first come, first come basis. Please understand that requesting the tickets does not guarantee that it will be fulfilled.
Return of Laptops from PS 89
Please be advised that 8th grade students must return school purchased devices. If your child received an Apple laptop from P.S. 89, they will need to return it the week of June 10, 2024. If the laptop is not returned by June 14, 2024, your child will not receive their official diploma on the last day of school.
